Street 11 is an ideas competition initiated and convened by the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects that aims to challenge and showcase the profession of landscape architecture and allied professions, to explore and better understand the complex physical and cultural relationships that occur in our streets.
The competition focusses on the 60 metre Road Reserve of the Maroondah Highway in the township of Lilydale. Lilydale is a Major Activity Centre located East of Melbourne CBD, and forms the gateway to the Yarra Valley. The competition site is the public realm for the 2000m approximate length of Maroondah Highway ('Main Street') from Cavehill Road to Anderson Street.
